Boat washing is an obligation to preserve our lakes.

Man spraying boat with power washer

The Ville de Mont-Tremblant as well as the Municipality of Lac Tremblant Nord would like to remind you that before each launch, boat washing is mandatory for access to the lakes on its territory.

All users of motorized watercraft (combustion or electric) must have their watercraft washed at a certified wash station before launching it into the water and must have a wash certificate (vignette) recognized by the city.

In addition, the trailer must also undergo the same procedure prior to launching and removing a boat from the water.

Wash Certificate or Vignette must be:

  • Valid only for the lake listed on it.
  • Expires automatically after 24 hours or as soon as the boat leaves the lake listed on it.
  • The boat cannot therefore return to the same lake or any other body of water in the territory without being washed again, even within the 24 hours of validity of the certificate.

Please be advised that your boat and trailer will be inspected by our guardians and could be refused if not properly washed the day you launch your boat.

Invasive species could be introduced by unwashed vessels. These foreign invaders, their eggs, or spores, move from lake to lake when they are attached to a boat or are carried by water into the holds of boats.

This boat wash regulation will ensure that future generations will be able to swim, fish and sail as people have done for over 100 years.

PLTN members and Lac Tremblant Nord residents can launch and wash their boats for free.
